Personal Accident Insurance (PAI)
At U Save Rent a Car UAE, our rental agreements are designed to protect both our vehicles and our customers. We offer Personal Accident Insurance (PAI) as an optional extra in our premium product range. PAI covers medical costs and accidental death, providing customers with peace of mind and financial security in the event of an accident. While PAI is not obligatory, we strongly recommend customers consider including this cost-effective option in their rental agreement.
Coverage Details
PAI provides coverage for drivers and their passengers for personal injury while in the vehicle, up to a maximum of AED 200,000.
Summary of coverages under PAI:
- Death or permanent total disablement: AED 200,000
- Total and irrecoverable loss of sight in both eyes: AED 200,000
- Total loss by physical severance at or above the wrist or ankle of both hands or both feet, or of one hand together with one foot: AED 200,000
- Total loss by physical severance at or above the wrist or ankle of one hand or one foot, together with the total, irrecoverable loss of all sight in one eye: AED 200,000
- Total and irrecoverable loss of all sight in one eye: AED 100,000
- Total loss by physical severance at or above the wrist or ankle of one hand or one foot: AED 100,000
- Permanent partial disablement (not mentioned above): Calculated as per the percentage of disability certified by the prescribed Medical Authority, based on a capital sum insured of AED 200,000
Exclusions
PAI does not cover:
- Intentional self-injury or attempted suicide
- Injuries resulting from a physical or mental defect or infirmity
- Accidents occurring while the driver is under the influence of intoxicating liquor or drugs
- Accidents involving more passengers than the seating capacity stated in the policy schedule
- Diya Money (blood money), which is decided by a court of law based on the incident
